Homestay and Bakery Training, Raga, Kamle District 2022

On January 16, in Raga, the Department of Tourism, Kamle District, successfully initiated a Rural Tourism and Homestay & Bakery Training program for the Kamle Basin. The event, organized by the Department of Tourism Kamle District, was led by Smti. Duyir Yedi, District Tourism Officer, with significant contributions from Shri Tapan Gab, President of the Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators Association, and his team. Over 100 women and youths from various areas participated enthusiastically in this training program.

Esteemed resource persons included Smti. Bengia Manna Sonam, Deputy Director of Tourism (A.P.), Shri Mobia Tai (APSC), ADC Raga, Shri S.S. Kar, Master Trainer at SFCI, Shri Raj Basu, Rural Tourism Advisor, Shri Harsith C., Assistant Manager MoT (A.P.), Smti. Tako Natung Nabam, DDMO/DACO Kamle, Shri Kakum Dong, BMM of ArSRLM, and Shri Oshan Lepcha, Coordinator at ACT. The training aimed to empower participants with essential skills in homestay management and bakery operations, fostering sustainable rural tourism and enhancing the economic opportunities within the Kamle Basin.
