On September 21, 2023, a two-day Destination Management training program themed "Revisiting and Upskilling Homestay Operators" was held in Tezu, Lohit. This program brought together various tourism stakeholders who were trained in responsible practices, hospitality, and bakery skills. The training aimed to enhance the capabilities of homestay operators, ensuring they can offer exceptional experiences to visitors while promoting sustainable tourism.
In addition to the homestay training, a sensitization program was conducted for members of the YUVA Tourism Club at KV, VKV, and Indira Gandhi Government College. This program sought to motivate young members to actively participate in tourism-related activities, fostering a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for the development of the tourism sector. The combined efforts of these programs are expected to significantly contribute to the growth and sustainability of tourism in the region.
